Boom Launches MCP Server to Bring Leasing Data Into the AI Assistants Property Managers Already Use

AUSTIN, TX, October 21, 2026—Boom announced the launch of the Boom MCP server, a direct connection between Boom and AI assistants like Claude and ChatGPT. Property managers can ask questions about their portfolio in natural language and get answers from their live Boom data, without exporting or building reports by hand.

‍

Property management teams track listings, leads, applications, and showings in Boom. However, getting a specific answer, like who missed a showing this week or how one property’s conversion rate compares to another’s, usually means pulling a report and working through it in a spreadsheet. MCP (Model Context Protocol), an open standard for connecting AI assistants to business software, lets the assistant do that work instead.

‍

The Boom MCP server can answer questions about the full leasing pipeline, for example:

  • Listings: “Give me a snapshot of every listing currently available across my portfolio, with days on market.” Or: “Which of my listings have been sitting the longest without an application?”
  • Leads and applications: “How many leads turned into applications for [Property] last quarter?” Or: “Where are applicants stalling right now?”
  • Lead sources: “Break down leads for [Property] by source.”
  • Showings: “How many showings happened this week, and how many were no-shows or cancellations?” Or: “List everyone who didn’t show up, with their contact info.”
    ‍

From there, the assistant can take the next step: compare two properties, draft outreach to this week’s no-shows, or turn the results into a summary for an owner meeting. The assistant can also add leads and log notes in Boom, so nothing has to be re-entered by hand.

‍

Each connection runs under the user’s existing Boom permissions.

‍

“Most of our customers have an AI assistant open all day. Until now it couldn’t tell them how their units are leasing,” said Rob Whiting, CEO and co-founder of Boom. “Finding out which listings are sitting, or who missed a showing yesterday, shouldn’t require running a report. The MCP server brings Boom data into the tools our customers already work in.”

‍

The Boom MCP server is available today to Boom customers at no additional cost. It works with Claude, ChatGPT, and other MCP-compatible assistants, and setup instructions are at https://docs.boompay.app/mcp
