New releases from the Boom team this week—PetScreening integration, on hold application status, retry link for IDV, email notifications for chat messages, and more. Read all of the details below.
New integration launch: PetScreening
You can now integrate your PetScreening account with BoomScreen to streamline the animal screening process for your leasing team and applicants. Once integrated, animal screening results will appear in the application report.
To enable the integration, go to Screening settings → select a template → toggle on Animal screening report → select PetScreening → input your PetScreening URL.

New application status: On hold
Looking for a way to organize applications that you want to revisit later? You can now place submitted applications “on hold.” This status pauses the application until you’re ready to resume it and make a decision. You can view and manage all “on hold” applications in the On hold tab of the applications table.
To put an application on hold, select a submitted application → … → Place on hold.
To resume an application, select an on hold application → … → Resume.

Identity verification (IDV) retry link
When you request an IDV retry, BoomScreen automatically emails the applicant. You can now also copy the retry link and send it through another channel to encourage timely completion.
To request an IDV retry, click into an application → Identity verification → Request retry. Applicants will be able to re-enter their data, upload new documents, and complete a new selfie check.

Email notifications for new chat messages
BoomScreen can now send email notifications to help you stay on top of applicant chat messages. If a new chat goes unread for five minutes, you’ll receive an email reminder, giving you time to check the message and avoiding unnecessary inbox clutter. This update streamlines applicant communications and ensures you never miss an important message from an applicant.
To turn on email notifications for new applicant chat messages, go to Settings → Notifications → toggle on “Notify me via email when an applicant sends a new chat message.”

Merge applications with duplicate email/phone numbers
BoomScreen now lets you merge applications that share the same email address or phone number. This update gives you more flexibility to clean up duplicates and keep records accurate.
To merge applications, navigate to the Applications tab → select applications you want to merge → click Merge applications.
