Boom announced a new integration with igloo, the smart access control company, enabling property managers to run self-guided showings on igloo locks and keyboxes directly from the Boom platform. When a showing is scheduled in BoomCRM, Boom issues an access code valid only for that unit and that time window, with no leasing agent required on site.
The hard part of self-guided showings is rarely the software. It is the unit. Vacant properties frequently have no power, no internet, and no hub, which rules out connected locks that depend on a live network to receive a code. igloo’s algoPIN technology works offline. Time-sensitive PIN codes are generated algorithmically and validated locally by the lock, without requiring a live internet connection on-site. As such, they can continue accepting valid time-sensitive codes even when a vacant unit’s utilities or internet service are inactive.
“Self-guided touring should not depend on whether a vacant unit has WiFi or supporting network infrastructure,” said Addi Gaur, Director of Partnerships & Corporate Development at igloo. “By bringing igloo’s offline-capable access technology into BoomCRM, property managers can automate secure, time-bound access across more of their portfolio without adding operational complexity at every property.”
The integration spans igloo’s device range, from keyboxes that secure a physical key to deadbolts and mortise locks installed on the door itself. Property managers running mixed portfolios can standardize on a single access vendor instead of matching hardware to each property type, and every scheduled showing gets a code issued and expired automatically by the same system that captured the lead.
